  1. What is MSTC all about and what can I gain from the event?
    MSTC is a conference that provides a platform for participants to engage and obtain insight upon challenges in the STEM industry, by its’ members from various backgrounds within the field. We believe that the exchange in ideas in between participants is the opportunity for everyone to gain understanding regarding modern technologies implemented within our societies and in hopes with that, we will be able to effectively improve the quality of life for others.

  2. Where will MSTC be held?
    This year’s MSTC will be held at UEM Group Berhad. The full address for the venue will be as: 17-2 Mercu UEM, Jalan Stesen Sentral 5 Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Wilayah Persekutuan, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

  3. Who is/are the host(s) for MSTC?
    MSTC is the trademark event for YME, Young Malaysian Engineers. YME, which is a global network of Malaysian STEM students working to promote and encourage the interactions between young Malaysian talents. the name of the club does not suggest that we confine our pool of targeted audiences, rather, the engineering field is very interdisciplinary in both theory and practice and the naming is a legacy. Our aim is to bridge the gap between students and industrial firms through boosting the participation of Malaysian youths in STEM, also to highlight the potential of STEM in the future.

  4. If the event is mainly focused towards engineers and engineers-to-be, is it also open to other Malaysian students/graduates from any other careers?
    We strongly encourage all Malaysian students studying within colleges and universities from all around the world to participate within the event, as it is open for all members within the Malaysian society to learn about the interesting STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) topics and discover various career choices based on what was gained within the event itself!

  5. Who will be presenting within the event?
    Our line-up of speakers features unique individuals from engineers to entrepreneurs with prominent contributions within the STEM field. Click here to get accessed on more information regarding our speakers!

  6. How do I get to the venue?
    It is encouraged for participants to take public transport towards the location as it is close (a 6 minutes’ walk) to KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur’s main integrated rail transportation centre. If driving is more to your convenience, the exact Google Map location can be found: here.

  7. How long is the duration of the event and what format will the conference be on?
    The event will be held for 2 days, from 9:00AM to 6:00PM. The conference is aimed to be fun and interactive. It will have different activities as well. You can find out more from the schedule here.

  8. When does the registration start for that day?
    Registrations will start at 9:00AM, on both 4th and 5th August. Remember to present a copy of your e-ticket in physical form/mobile on the day itself as verification! If you're attending as a delegate from a society/ university, please ask the representative of your delegation to register on the behalf of your society.

  9. What happens if I had not received the welcome invitational email before the event despite having signed up for it?

  10. Is it possible for me to register at the door on the event day itself?
    Unless we have reached maximum capacity for the event (which will be informed to the public via our social medias/website), we are willing to accept walk-in registrations. However, lunch will not be provided for walk-in guests.

  11. Will food be provided at the conference?
    Yes. Lunch will be provided along with a corporate luncheon which also provides a chance to engage in talk with our speakers within the event regarding various legitimate issues.

  12. Where do I submit my food preferences if I were to participate within the event?
    All food preferences can be informed via the registration form. If there are any add-ons to food preferences, do inform us in the Human Resources Department!

  13. Whom will be the main point of contact in case of emergency during the event?
    If there’s any doubts/emergencies in mind within or even regarding the event itself, please do not hesitate to contact the main Coordinators!

  14. What is the dress-code for the conference?
    Business casual. However, slippers and flip-flops are not allowed.

  15. Can I take photos or record within the event?
    Flash photography and recording during presentations or panel sessions are strictly prohibited since it will interrupt the operations of the video crew present within the event. It is also recommended that you do not ask for the video crew’s assistance in taking photos or videos during breaks within the event.

  16. What if I can only attend one out of the two conference days?
    Please let the team know about it by informing the Human Resources Department.

  17. Is there any parking lots around the venue if I were to drive there?
    Because Mercu UEM is located near KL Sentral, participants are highly encouraged to opt for public transportations. For participants with their own transportations, parking is not allowed within the building. However, there are parking spaces at NU Sentral or Plaza Sentral available at RM 4 flat rate per day on weekends
